Irony is that this Akshay Kumar movie named "Holiday" is released after the holidays are over!
Well, the movie is adapted (read copy) from a south Indian film of the same director. They call it a remake. (R.I.P original content in Bollywood)
The movie starts off with Akshay Kumar's family waiting for him to return after 11 months of his military duty. Akshay is seen in fist fighting with his fellow military people in his intro . Govinda's cameo role was short and sweet.
Akshay's family take him directly from the railway station to see Sonakshi Sinha for marriage. (Most idiotic thing ever)

Then comes the main plot.Rather than sharing crucial, and against the clock intel, Akshay (Virat) thinks police are idiots,so he does everything by himself. It is a fixed impression he shares, and candidly imposes on his only friend, who he hangs along with whenever he's home off duty. The friend, a sub-inspector played by the likable Summet Raghavan, can do without him; the movie cannot.
During the span of two hours and forty-one minutes, Virat single-handedly breaks down the sleeper cells before they attack Mumbai its leader (Freddy Daruwala) from somewhere in Indian Thar, without building up even mild perspiration.
Freddy doesn't look convincing as a villian in the movie. Though he has great physique ,he obviously gets outsmarted by Virat .
Sonakshi Sinha as usual has nothing to do in the movie except dance in two songs.
Music is good,it keeps you entertained.
The pace of the movie is steady doesn't slow down. The main objective of the plot is shown successfully.
Akshay Kumar does outstanding action scenes with one parkour scene. The action is awesome thanks to the cinematography which makes it look good.
Overall it was a better than average Movie.
Watch out for- Akshay, action scenes, screenplay.
Ignore for - Sonakshi Sinha
Ratings- 5.5/10
