The much awaited movie franchisee of the year "Transformers:Age of Extinction" releases all over the globe.
I made it sure to catch the paid preview. (Lucky the IMAX one!). It was my first time at IMAX and believe me..it is worth every penny! So ,I went to the IMAX screen at Big Cinemas,Wadala.(which was only one of the two iMax screens in Mumbai).

Now about the movie .
Many felt Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox should have been continued with the franchisee, But with Transformers: Age of Extinction, it's felt like it was a good step forward with the character reboots!
There's Mark Wahlberg playing the lead (human) actor (last seen in Pain &Gain) who is the spark of the movie with his attractive acting and a good body build handles the movie like a Hercules. There's the introduction of the new Transformers
Age of Extinction is a sequel based on further few years after the previous part, 2011’sTransformers: Dark of the Moon.
In case you don’t remember, that movie ended with the Autobots victorious in a battle that heavy mass destruction to Chicago,(A real waste!)
Optimus Prime promising that he would always protect Earth and its inhabitants. But every thing doesn't go accordingly!

The Chicago battle convinced humanity that all Transformers are bad, and the Autobots have gone into hiding (Optimus was nearly killed at some point, apparently, and hasn’t been seen since).
A CIA agent (Kelsey Grammer) is making a name for himself by hunting down the Autobots and killing them one by one faking up and telling the president that he’s actually killing Decepticons because he’s working with a transformer like robot hunter named Lockdown,( who was he wasn't explained in the movie )— but his face does turn into a pretty cool looking helmet.
Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg plays Cade Yeager, a healthy single dad trying to keep his livelihood running and provide parenthood for his 17-year-old daughter, Tessa (Nicola Peltz).
Cade is an inventor (Automobile Engineer to be precise) making up stuff that works partially and keeps reminding everyone that he’s an inventor, but his life becomes miserable as he finds he wasn't making enough money.
One day he is picking up scraps from an abandoned movietheater, where he comes across a broken-down truck. What follows is such a mess of unpredictable events and circumstances that change the normal laboratory life of Cade!
Cade repairs the truck and finds out that it’s Optimus Prime. They team up with the few remaining Autobots, with Grammer’s CIA hit squad in pursuit on getting the information about the Autobot found changing places.
New casting of autobots include Hound,Drift, and Crosshairs, with bumblebee coming back with its short tempered and amateur character which adds the fun element of the franchisee.
Redesigned Optimus looks kickass!

Cade and the Autobots discover that tech executive (Stanley Tucci, the film’s one consistent highlight) has found a way to build Autobot clones using a rare element called "transformium." Including Galvatron who is build up with megatron as a base .
This causes further debacles for Cade and Autobots.
Optimus Prime with his killer leader looks and fight till you die attitude makes him the punch of the movie. Optimus's character was given a better instinct to hold the movie together.
Jack Reydon does a superb supporting role between finding awkward first meeting situation with his girlfriend's dad (Mark of course).

You'll find humour in between thrilling action sequences which is enjoyable. James Bachman has a funny cameo as a scientist. Tucci too has a important role in the movie.
Action was exactly Michael Bay style, which includes destruction, destruction and destruction!
The locations used were good. From Texas to China each was used to its contents.

The main highlight of the film was the Stunning visual effects. You can never imagine a football stadium sized space ships and larger than life transformers without the vfx .
Mark Wahlberg carries his character pretty well . I found his character more brave and strong that Shia's character.
The dialogues were more of one liners.
Optimus Prime carries out inspiring fight back against LockDown and the Dinobots.
With Megatron coming back to life he was missing in the action .

The slow motion fighting sequences at the climax with Cade taking a crucial part brings up a total chill in your bones.
The length of the movie was a drop down. You'll feel the back story dragged up. Also you will find some scenes in full resolution 4K while some in 2K which was clearly noticeable in the second half.
The steady story telling is fast at some ends while slow at the end
