I never deny being a movie buff. I ignore all Bollywood movies and watch only the best ones.
The quality and content of the Bollywood movies have been declining past few years.
In Bollywood, a guy gets a movie coz he/she is brother, sister, daughter, son of some famous personality. Doesn't matter he/she can act or not.
Production houses in Hollywood chase for various assortments of a subject. It's actual we see a rush of comparable films on occasion. Be that as it may, at any rate, the subjects change following 6 months. But at least the subjects change after 6 months. Here in Bollywood, one guy succeeded with Dabangg three years ago, others are still making movies on similar subjects in a similar way. Think about a fight sequence in a Bollywood movie. e.g. A fight sequence on a plane. The window is broken, yet nothing flies away. WTF?. The plane is on fire, yet somehow the good guy and the bad guy manage to finish their fight.
The most important reason for the declining quality is the audience. People still like the masala movies with song and dance sequence every now and then.
There’s been a raft of memorable movies this year and here, ranked by me according to my favorites.
The Ranking are on basis of story and engaging moments of the movie.
1. Deadpool

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL , it is no doubt the best movie of 2016 with deadly action and comedy. Ryan Reynold pulled off this role as his career best (obviously after disastrous Green Lantern).
The dialogues are witty, sincere, and delivered by every single actor with a naturalism which appears to be more similar to extemporized without any preparation, which is always better than a rubbish script.
The pacing of the film is fantastic. It held my enthusiasm throughout.
2. The Big Short

This movie is based on the book by Michael Lewis, was adapted by McKay and Charles Randolph. "The Big Short," builds on the visceral truth of Scorsese's "Wolf of Wall Street."
It portrays an in the no so distant past present where a honorable perfect, making home possession a reality for Americans, which is adulterated by the uninterested market powers of free enterprise. In the event that you are a business or financial specialization course you will be treated with a visual representation of the economic crisis of mid-2000s. Steve Carell gives one of the best execution of his profession, Christian bundle depicts the awkward genius guy effortlessly. Ryan gosling is smooth over the top and clever in this film, he additionally makes the entire thing considerably more intriguing. Brad Pitt is somewhat of a decent person and the ethical focus. This is an unquestionable recommendation to see, and needs numerous viewings to genuinely appreciate.
3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

For all those comic book fan boys (including myself), this movie was pulled off with a lot of expectations. For really enjoying this movie you need to read the comics or watch the animated movies of DC. It seems as though viewers of Batman v. Superman are split solidly into two camps: completely loving it or totally hating it. The new, "bulky, shock-troop, vengeful" Batman is VERY convincing. I, too, was skeptical of Ben Affleck being cast as the new Dark Knight; however, his performance/portrayal will leave you pleasantly surprised (subjective, but I was rooting for him!).
Wonder Woman was great, BUT! she stole absolutely imperative screen-time from Superman.
4. The Accountant

Ben Affleck has been on top of his game starting right from Gone Girl. The script is so well crafted. I guarantee you will not know what's coming, and after they hit you, they're going to hit you again, even better. Truly exceptional writing. Truly gripping movie in every sense.
5. Captain America: Civil War

This maybe the best Marvel movie yet or comic book movie yet. Very well paced and well written, you won't feel a couple of hours has passed. The action sequences alone are worth the money - particularly airport scene was just pure joy and jaw dropping.
With so many characters and superheroes, everyone still got a chance to shine. I was particularly happy with the appearance of Spiderman, Black Panther and Antman!
6. Doctor Strange

All in all, Marvel has done well with Doctor Strange. Origin stories can be clichéd and boring, but the trick is to do something different. Marvel have a formula that they use in not only their origin stories but all of their solo movies. They skipped a few elements from the comic books but executed the entire movie very well. No one could have been a better choice to play the role of Stephen Strange than Benedict Cumberbatch.
7. The Revenant

I went to see "The Revenant" on the day that it was nominated for 12 Oscars, which certainly sets the expectation that it is going to be good – and it is. But I saw it described by DiCaprio as an "epic art-house western" and that's a good description. Though it is not very mainstream movie but it is very gritty, realistic and visceral making the drama a lot more compelling. If you like fast paced movie than this movie is not for you as is a slog and not a feel-good film to sit through.
8. Kung Fu Panda 3

The third chapter in DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda series may have the effervescent wit, lighthearted flavor & exciting kung fu action of the earlier chapters but it lacks the magic of the previous two movies. Overall a fun movie to enjoy.
9. 10 Cloverfield Lane

the film is great with very little flab, and if you like these kinds of stories which lock characters together in tight, paranoid spaces (like The Room) then you'll find a lot to enjoy here.
10. X-Men: Apocalypse

While I prefer First Class and Days of Future Past, Apocalypse truly surprised me. It has the grandest scale of any X-Men movie. The visuals are stunning, the chaos is immense, the humor is well placed, the pacing is spot on, the music is great (Metallica and Beethoven anyone?), and the entire film builds up to an explosive climax that delivers everything you'd want in an X-Men movie of this magnitude. This is a must-watch for X-Men fans.
11. Batman: The Killing Joke

This animated movie shows the origin of Joker and complicated relationship of Batman and Bat Girl. Overall the movie was quite a dent on the comics but is watchable if you are a batman fan. With an ambiguous ending not landed with the weight that's required either.
12. Sausage Party
Expect to see a straight forward raunchy comedy with no-holds-bar vulgarity and abundance of the F word. This movie is astoundingly hilarious and is worth seeing. However, although this is an animated feature film, do not watch this with children around.
13. War Dogs

The story is eye opening, relevant and very clearly told with a humorous tone through the serious subject matter. Again, if you are a commerce student you will learn about the bidding system of Government contracts. This is based on a true story with some fictionalized elements to make it entertaining. It’s quite a different movie than you expect still a worth watch one.
14. The Girl on the Train

The Girl on the Train is a novel that kind of jumped up on the world, especially with the unbelievable success of the book and movie versions of Gone Girl. If you're a fan of either mysteries or thrillers, The Girl on the Train will be a journey you want to go on. If not, best to wait at the platform for the next train.
15. Sully

After seeing this film, you may have a heightened respect even for flight attendants, who evidence a sincerer bravery than summer blockbuster heroes could ever do as that crew directs the passengers. Not a mainstream movie but a real depiction of real world experience.
Most of all, this film is a great display of the power of the human spirit. Everything about this film is grounded with humanity. No one seems fake. So often Hollywood is flooded with over-the-top filmmaking that can easily dilute the power of the film's message.
